kenmore 665.13269k114 Top rinser issue

My kenmore dishwasher has the power scrub option with the top rinser that goes all the way up to the top.  Open the dishwasher today and one of my bowls snags on the top tub rinser, it had fallen.  It’s held in by two metal button/tabs that “sit” in the divets at the top of the tub.  Well I can’t seem to get them to go back, and stay, in the divets...am I that dense or is there a trick to getting them to stay in the holes?

Thanks,

Shawn

What part are you referring to?

So I stand corrected number 7 is the underneath part that attaches to the part I’m struggling with.  Mine is the metal part that holds 7.  I think the metal is always supposed to be attached to the tub...yet mine fell off.  How do I get it back attached?

If your referring to the metal clip, it is spot welded to the tub. Don't think super glue would hold.

Get a short stainless screw to hold it back up there. Add a little silicone if you wanna be sure it doesn’t leak at all

Drill one hole to fit a small flat head machine bolt through the stainless steel bracket on center .  then drill a hole up through the top.  fit a machine bolt and nut with lock tight just long enough to not interfere with the installation of the dishwasher.   Use some high temperature silicone and just seal where the bolt enters inside through the top and a generous amount over the nut on the out side top of the dishwasher where the machine nut is that holds the bracket up.

Make sure you use stainless hardware or it’ll rust

Well before the responses I super glued....if it doesn’t hold I’ll be drilling through the tub for a machine screw.  Thanks, guess my spot weld wasn’t that great.  My luck in a nutshell.
