Miele T1576 Dryer not running full cycle

Dryer starts, drum spins, fan sounds like it's running. I went through the technical service manual and did a diagnostic, which returned the following fault:

"NTC at heater bank open circuit"

I know that's a sensor on the top of the heater bank assembly, so would the logical next step be to replace the sensor? What causes it to have an open circuit and is there anything else I should be checking? Does anyone know what the part number is for that sensor? Any help would be appreciated before I start this.

I'll add that I just did the residual moisture sensor test (service mode>rotary iron) and the cooling down light flashes, stating that the residual moisture sensor also(?) has a fault.
