WED5800BW0 bent dryer door hinge

Recommended Posts

I have a Whirlpool Cabrio WED5800BW0 dryer and the door hinges seem to be bent and the door closes in a bind and pops open. The hinge part numbers are W10284141 and W10284140. Is there a technique for straightening bent door hinges on a dryer?

Put a small handle screwdriver or stick at the hinge area and gently close the door on it, (don't slam it, just close it as far as it will go on whatever you have in the hinge area, then push gentle pressure closing the door further.   Don't over do it - open remove object and try to close the door again and see if better - do again if not enough).
