What is this plastic piece found under my Maytag MVWB765FW washer?

I found this somewhat clear plastic piece under my Maytag washer--do you think it is it related to the machine or is it just under there randomly?  Thanks for the help!

It is about 2 inches long by 1/2 inch wide.

When the machine was new the slide plate was locked in place by 2 pins with hair pin clips. The customer pulled a yellow strap to remove the hair pin clips and the pins fell into a plastic holder. You found the pin holder, must have come loose after all these years. Should have been a steel pin with the holder.

Yes I think that's exactly what it is, only it's probably from my previous washer which was an older Kenmore.  I had the Kenmore sitting in a drain pan, and when they installed my new Maytag last year the piece was probably in the pan and they just put the new machine over it.  Based on your info I found a picture of an older Kenmore that shows the same style pin cup in the upper left side of the frame/plate.

Thanks so much for your help!
