As it says in the title, Whirlpool GZ25FSRXYY1 leaking water from bottom of freezer door. Freezer has filled with ice along the bottom. I've already replaced the duckbill check valve at the defrost line with a p-trap (W10619951/AP5780744) and got all of the ice out of the freezer, but the problem is back after about a week (probably as long as it took to fill the whole bottom of the freezer again.

This seemed to be the online consensus fix, so can anyone suggest any other options for why this is happening? Should I have defrosted the freezer longer or unplugged the whole thing for a few days? I appreciate your thoughts and thanks in advance!

You have to remove the ice from the drain underneath the evaporator inside the freezer. You’re only halfway done with the repair.

Remove the inside back cover in the freezer and you’ll see a slab of ice. The drain hole is underneath

Ok, thanks. Missed that step. I'll give it a try.
