I have no idea if its related or not. I already invested 100$ into sump. If i need another part i cant afford to make a mistake. Please help! Thanks

When you reinstalled the unit after replacing the sump, did you confirm the dishwasher is plumb and level? Many, if not most leaks like you describe are the related to installation issues. That’s a good place to start.

Thanks for your reply! i did in fact readjusted the level later and it seems to keep the water in pan.Too bad i cant attach the pictures. My question though is should the water be ALL the way up to the lip of the pan under the door. Obviously it's not up all the time but only at some stages.Thank you!

If I understand your meaning, and the unit is level and plumb, the water should not rise as high as you describe. It is possible the unit is not draining completely and water level becomes too high when it refills. Also possible that if the drain hose is not installed with a high loop water may to flow back into the sump. The hose should loop up so that is touches the underside of the counter and be secure that way to prevent back flow. Check for an incomplete drain cycle by opening the door after drain cycle and before it starts to refill. Confirm there is no standing water above the screen in the sump.

If these things check out there may be deeper issue. Inside there kickplate there is a tech sheet with instructions for entering a diagnostic cycle and checking for error codes. That is your next step - or call a pro :)

At what stage is excess fill observed? Is the water VERY sudsy when it is high?

A leaking dishwasher is a common problem. Dishwashers will leak due to a problem with the water inlet valve that isn't connected properly or just faulty, unfortunately these cannot be repaired and need to be replaced. There are times when the door seal is ripped or cracked and that would be the reason for the leaking dishwasher.

Water Inlet Valve: The water inlet valve allows water to flow into the dishwasher. It can become stuck in the open position letting water to continue to flow.

I got this info from:
