Hi there,

Washer will not start or fill, just locks lid and clicks a couple of times, then red lid lock light flashes.  I do not think it is turning the drum during the balance test either.  I replaced the lid lock switch, but no change, same pattern.  Any suggestions?  Thanks.

Do you have any more information about the washer? Preferably a model number.

Never mind I see you tagged post with model number wtw4800xq2

Looking at tech sheet for it says check the J15 connector on the main control board to see if it is connected well. If not seated well, then correct and retry. If it is seated well and you have a meter you can unplug connector and verify the switches on the J15 connector are working and the resistance across the lock solenoid. New switch though *should* pass those tests.

If the lock mechanism is good tech sheet recommends board replacement

Thanks.  I replaced lid lock switch, no improvement.  Then I found bulging bad capacitor, so now waiting on that part to see if it’s fixed.
