I am just starting out my appliance repair business, and I wanted to know where a tech can get support over the phone while at a job?

Tech support lines are typically hosted by individual manufacturers. Most require some sort of tribute (registration and fee) before you can access them.

Most high end manufacturers have free tech support.  Just Google "brand X technical support" and you'll find the numbers.

@Brian B I think you would benefit greatly from our appliance repair courses over at https://mastersamuraitech.com. With the troubleshooting skills we teach and access to the technical literature for the appliance you're working on, you can be your own tech line and never have to worry about relying on a phone call to figure out the problem.

Speaking of tech lit, that's something you can get right here at Appliantology as a Professional Appliantologist member, along with world-class tech help in our forums and 40+ hours of educational videos on a variety of technical topics. You can become a PA member here:

OR, as an extra special added bonus for enrolling at the MST Academy, you can get all the benefits of a Professional Appliantologist membership for free! More info on that here: https://mastersamuraitech.com/free-mst-student-premium-membership-at-appliantology/

Brian this site is my tech support. I’ve never called a mfr tech line.

I highly recommend joining this site as a professional.
