Bosch dishwasher SHXM65W55N/11 lightening

Recommended Posts

My house got hit by lightening and fried my dishwasher board. I replaced it and it is now "working". It runs, but it isn't cleaning like it used to. I had a professional look at it and he said it looked fine, and no error codes. I am trying to figure out why it isn't cleaning. What should I check? How do I know if it is getting enough water pressure? Could it be the water inlet solenoids?

Thanks

Place coffee mug right side up in upper rack. Start dishwasher wait until you hear water circulating (not just filling) after 1 minute open door and see if mug is full or empty.

It should have plenty of water in it if circulation good.

Make sure there isn't anything clogging the intake in the sump restricting flow.

Thanks for the responses. I let it water circulate for 1 minute and the cup was just about full. The water was cold, should it be hot at the initial rinse?

Matt,

The flow out of the dishwasher seems to be ok.

Matt,

It’s only as hot as your tap water. Which should be no less than 120 degrees. I run my sink hot water first to bring the hot water up, since cool wAter lays in the pipe.

The water was cold. I usually run the water before a cycle. I also have a tankless on demand water heater so it takes some time. But I thought this model has a water heater in it so it will heat the water to the correct temp. Maybe the heater got fried by the lightening?
