broken spring on old Kenmore washer

One of the suspension springs on our old Kenmore front-load washer broke so I replaced them both. Now it seems to me that there is more movement front to back in the drum than there was before.  Is there some part that limits this movement that maybe I missed when when I did the repair?

Did you check the shocks at the bottom of the tub?

If the spring broke there is a very good chance you broke one or both of the shocks.

Did you move the plastic sleeves over to the new spring? If not, the spring will wear through tub hole and/ or cabinet mount. Part numbers for upper and lower sleeve 131595500 and 131560000. BTW this has nothing to do your current problem. It is to prevent future problems.
