Replacing washing machine bearings on a LG DD WM2301HW and ran into reassembly trouble.

Hi everybody,

like the title says I’ve been replacing the bearings on a washing machine I got for free. After many repair videos and much effort I’ve replaced the inner and outer bearing. However the inner tub doesn’t reseat fully into the outer tub. The inner tub spins freely, but it’s leading edge rubs against the rubber seal in the front making an awful squeaking noise. It looks like the inner tub is about a quarter of an inch too far out. Any advice would be appreciated.
