Why does Bosch dishwasher drain every time I shut the door?

I have a Bosch dishwasher that always seems to have water in the bottom and then cycles the drain pump every time I click the door shut. Any suggestions on what to check?

There is a flood switch in the pan under neath the dishwasher, it is sensing water. Turns on the drain pump as a safety. Start by removing toeplate and look around at pan to check for water. Reach over the plate area and feel pan for water. Usually can't see much this way, but it is a start. Next you will have to remove dishwasher and pull side to look for water.  Repair the leak and dyer up the water.

Sometimes it’s not even a leak. Sometimes the styrofoam float gets chewed up by mice and also triggers pump to continual run.

Also a torn check valve can cause the pump to run continually.

With water reported in tub as you said I’d look at check valve first.
