Miele W1213 - F53 Fault - Fixing - Brushes ?

Recommended Posts

The old washer stopped working, had a tech come out ( I was traveling and could not help at the house).   He says the door gasket is leaking and dripping on the float valve.   I ordered a new one and replace it.   All looks good.   Run the washer and get a Code F53.   That's the Tachogenerator.   People say it's usually the brushes in the motor.   I pulled everything apart to look at the brushes and my motor doesn't appear to have the style brushes that I see on line.   : (

Here is my motor and brushes...

and here are brushes I see online for a W1213.  Supposedly part number 4297413, but these look totally different

I don't really understand how these brushes even come out on my machine....   They almost look like the solid wires are almost soldered in there.

Ideas ??

TIA
