LG model WT4970CW top load washer, unbalanced, firmware update?

Recommended Posts

I’m getting constant ue errors for an unbalanced load. The washer is level and doesn’t rock. I have been reading about the most current firmware will fix the problem. The washer is in the correct serial number range and has firmware 10 version, so the newest version 13 should fix the problem.  However, I can not find information on where to get the firmware file and how to install the firmware.  The washer has WiFi so I assume that I would use my phone to flash the firmware. Is updating firmware on this washer possible? Firmware version 12 and newer suppose to fix this problem.     Part is Electronic control board EBR75639503.  Thanks

I could be wrong...

but I believe only authorized LG certified technicians have access to firmware.

Others have to buy the latest version of the board that has the latest firmware. This At times can be tricky due to distributors stock of older boards.

Someone else may know something I don’t?

Thanks for replying Ed. Replacing the board with the most current firmware, solved the problem.
