Kitchen aid SxS - optics board? KSF26C4XYY03

Got a Kitchen aid sxs. KSF26C4XYY03. No ice. Since the customer lived a good but out I went ahead and pre ordered an ice maker. I was out the other day, installed it, ran T&H test--it harvested but no fill. Of course, I was pressed for time and couldnt stay to troubleshoot, so I left. I went ahead and told him to thaw unit w/doors open for 24 hrs. (so I could rule out frozen fill tube--although didnt see signs at tube opening). He said he did but still no ice. Main questions:

1) Should I focus on valve since it didnt even  fill when thawed?

2) What about optics board on this model?  From what I can find the board doesnt blink on this model--- is that correct? (The board was not blinking at all when I was there)

3) I forgot to check the wire harness at the bottom hinge of the freezer door-- is that a common failure with this model?

Thanks,

Jared

Rerun ice test cycle and measure voltage V to N on ice maker module. When the ice calls for fill the voltage should be about 100 vac for about 5 to 7 seconds. You can also undo the water line connector at the bottom of door and put the tube into a container to check water flow coming to the door. Easy way to test for frozen fill tube.

Thanks Vance-- all good ideas. I was out there yesterday and found broken wire bundle at freeezer door hinge--apparently common with this model. Door is discontinued so I went ahead and butt spliced wires. Jumped a T&H and icemaker filled, but a small amount. I told customer if cubes stay small (or eventually no ice) then I'll get him to defrost the unit to rule out frozen fill tube/weeping valve.

FYI, the optics board DID blink after i reset breaker which I found tech sheet says happens within first five seconds of power up.
