Kitchenaid Refrig KFIL27CXMS0 Freezes

Lord I hope someone here can point me in the right direction. The refrig side gets down to 27 degrees even though its set as high as possible, 45 degrees. In the crisper drawers it'll freeze cucumbers and other produce and freeze boiled eggs HARD over night. The freezer is set at 5 above yet two thermometers read -8. I've had the dampener out and the motor checked good and the dampener itself isn't stuck and moves freely. I placed a small sliver of wood against the dampener flap to see if it ever opened (the wood would fall out of place) but it never did in three days so the refrig being too cold isn't because of the dampener. It's because the freezer is getting and staying too cold and transferring the cold mainly (my guess) through the wall dividing the two sides. Could the freezer have a bad thermister? I ask because something is NOT regulating the freezer temp. I removed the freezer thermister and placed it in 32 degree water and my meter read 8.3 thousands. Problem is using the number on this part I can't find a chart of readings to know if it's good/bad. The number is Whirlpool 0920 but the only way Whirlpool shows it is with a new evap motor/wiring harness assembly.

The thermistor is only available on the harness assembly in this model. You could try 12002355 as it is the same type of thermistor that Whirlpool uses there, but the best money with the least amount of questions is on just replacing the motor/harness assembly.

I new here and somewhat confused. I was notified of a reply to my post but when I checked/opened my message, it brought up the above posting by dudeicus. And the reply from MeApplianceMatt; Are you replying to dudeicus and/or does it pertain to mine as well that I can't even find? If so, I really don't want to replace everything when the fan works great and I suspect the thermister. However, if I check the value of mine and it's within spec what then would be causing the refrig side to run at 27/28 degrees? The dampener motor checks good and the door moves freely but it NEVER opens because the refrig never gets warm enough to activate it. Thanks!
