GE Hotpoint CTX14CPGRWH Water Leak - Seeking Alternate Solution

Recommended Posts

Posted

I have water collecting/icing up on the bottom shelf of the fridge (freezer on top, fridge on bottom). I

1. snaked the drain tube running from the freezer down to the drain pan

2. replaced the door gasket, using gentle heat on the gasket to ensure a tight fit

I'm still seeing water collect though.  Any ideas of what else it could be?

Unit level? Or rather tipped 5-10* back?

Is the p trap or j trap present at the back?

is the drain iceing up?

is there a heat strap present on the heater?
