Hi there helpful folks. This forum has been very helpful as I've navigated this broken dishwasher. Last week it stopped spraying when running a wash cycle. Water fills the bottom, the soap pod does come down, but doesn't dissolve fully, and food particles in the bottom barely move. It does drain if you run the drain cycle once water is in the bottom.

So far, I have:

  • Checked filter (clean)
  • Thoroughly checked the float for debris (cleaned and clear)
  • Removed and run water through the spray arms (all running just fine)
  • Run diagnostic mode (it shows a 4-3 error code)
  • Replaced the circulation pump motor (THAT was fun)

I'm kind of at a loss of what to do for my next steps, and of course, there are no resources over the phone. Trying to avoid anyone coming into the house right now.

Any guidance would be much appreciated!

ERROR 4-3 according to Tech Sheet
failed Calibration

1. OWI failure.

1. Unplug dishwasher or disconnect power.

2. Remove OWI and check lens surface. Lens
should be clear and surface should be free of
debris and scratches. Clean lens or replace
OWI as needed.

3. Check all connections in Soil Sensing
circuit with meter. Fix/ replace bad
connection/part.
NOTE: Run Service Diagnostics cycle after
installing OWI to force calibration on next
regular wash cycle.

2. Drain hose check
valve not sealing.
Dirty water backs into dishwasher after
draining.
1. Disconnect drain hose at plumbing
connection.
2. Elevate hose above dishwasher and fill
with water. If water flows into dishwasher,
replace entire drain loop (install as high
as possible and attach to underside of
countertop if possible).

So the 4-3 error code is Motor not running. Usually it is the wash motor (sounds like you replaced already). What I would do if you can is pull it out and run it through the service cycle again and when the motor is supposed to be running check for 120vac at the motor connector. If you have 120vac then probably have a bad motor, if you have less than 120vac then I would think the control is not sending correct power.

Confirm you had the correct motor. Was it an OEM or an Amazon wash pump? They are not all alike.
