Subzero Model 736TC3 ice maker reduced output

Recommended Posts

Greetings,

I have the subject line refrigerator/freezer.  It is maybe 10 years old although the ice maker was installed about 6 years ago.  I've recently noticed that the ice maker is not producing as much ice as usual.  I've been seeing less than the usual 8 dispensed.  A recent output was two cubes followed by the water being supplied.  I'd appreciate your thoughts on what the issue might be.

Many thanks in advance.

Walter

I've also confirmed that the ice maker consistently only produces 2, sometimes 2ish, ice cubes.  So it seems to be an issue with the amount of water that is being supplied each time.  Is it possible this might be an issue with the water supply valve, and if so how could I confirm that?  Thanks.
