KitchenAid KSCS23FTSS02 side-by-side chirping noise

My KitchenAid KSCS23FTSS02 side-by-side refrigerator (about 10 yrs old) started making a "chirp" noise about two months ago. As far as I can tell, it's the chirp that you hear when you power on or off the refrigerator. It happens as something (I think it's the fan in the freezer) starts to spin up, then it stops abruptly, you hear the chirp, then it starts to spin up again. The number of times this cycle occurs can vary throughout the day. Sometimes it's two or three times. At night, I've caught it cycling like this 4, 5 or even 6 times.

I'm got a 30 second video that demonstrates the sound. It occurs at 6 sec, 9 sec, and 25 sec. It was hard to capture on the iPhone and I've maxed out the volume in the video clip. You'll have to turn up your volume to max to hear it, and headphones are even better. You can hear the fan spin up, then the chirp, then repeat.

Any help would be appreciated. Would like to get ahead of this and make a preventive repair instead of an emergency repair.

Thanks,
Chris

Fan motors will often start to “chirp” when they are failing. Replace Chirping  fan motor.
