I have an LG Front Load washer that had a bearing go bad. I ordered the kit which came with an inner and outer bearing and a seal. I installed them with no problem. Now, when I run the washer there is a rubber on metal sort of squeal when the drum spins at a low speed. The sound goes away when the drum picks up speed. Has anyone experienced this?

Most likely you didn't lube the seal with grease during assembly. May or may not go away in time as seal wears in.

The model number is WM2301HW.

Thanks.  I did not lube the seal.  What type of grease should I use?  White lithium?I don’t mind pulling it back apart.

Not familiar with the LG kit. It should have come with a small tube of grease. The Whirlpool rear drums and Cabrio spindle kit come with a small tube of blue grease part number w10331031. Think any kind of grease used for seal should work.

I removed the tub tonight and applied a liberal dose of silicone grease to the seal.  The squeal is gone!  Thanks!
