Bosch 800 Series Built-In Counter depth refrigerator cleaning

Recommended Posts

We have a Bsch built-in refrigerator, put in about 2 years ago in a new house. It is Built in, so we have no access to the rear of the bottom due to cabinetry.

A few weeks after it was installed, while we were away from home for a week, in summer in Florida, it blew the circuit and everything in the fridge & freezer melted. THe worst was the butter and some meat that didn't have seals that held up.  We cleaned & cleaned & cleaned - the insides.   A few weeks later, we noticed lots of little tiny flies in the fridge - ID'd as Phorid Flies.  THey were showing up in our ice cubes, and behind molding & on shelves. Dead.

The flies are back again, and I believe the source is the fridge - either the drip pan or the water line.   But I cannot figure out how to access either.  We had a Bosch serviceman here twice and he said he could not access it.  There must be a way to service the machine, and in this case, to clean the drip pan.

Any ideas? Thanks
