Hello,

I finally installed a Kenmore dishwasher 587.14249991 that I bought 2nd hand and had put in storage for a while. When I turned it on, the motor started (it was making motor noises at least), but no water came in. The water valve under the sink is open, of course.

I replaced the water inlet valve, that did not solve the problem. The overflow switch is good, at least according to my multimeter reading.
What else could it be?
Thank you!

Test for voltage at the water valve. It a mechanical time so you may have to advance it to correct spot to get voltage to the valve.

According to the manual, there is such option as 'winterizing' if you put dishwasher for a long to storage where low temperature could be. Could this be the reason of the problem? There are also few other troubleshootings in the manual's 'problems and solutions section' - I suggest to check them all.
