58714659201B- How do you access this thing??

Can anyone tell me how to access this frigidaire/kenmore portable dishwasher MOD 58714659201B? It seems straightforward when you first get at it: bottom toe panel with 2 screws-- that didnt loosen it. 2 small side trim pieces near toe panel: played with them for 10 min min and they wouldn't budge. Unit is leaking and I need to access pump/motor.

I'm afraid of damaging the unit so I thought I'd get on here and ask. Thank you in advance!!!

Portable...  did you lay in down and look underneath? Any access that way?

Yep. Metal base underneath : (

I've worked on one like this but it was a built-in model instead of portable.

If I remember correctly the plastic kickplate at the bottom under the door snaps off by just pulling straight out or maybe on keyed slots that you lift up and out to remove.

Once the plastic kickplate is off then the metal plate behind that needs to be removed - I'm pretty sure from the parts break down pictures you will need to prop up the dishwasher so it isn't resting on the front wheels, (the brackets that the front casters are in have to be removed to remove the plate covering the pump components).

Thanks Willie!!! I was just about to head to the customers and I thought I'd check back on here one last time. I'll try to post back on how it goes.

Ok so the toe panel came off with a little persuasion-- no keyed slots. Didn't have to remove the casters. Its  leaking from the motor assy. Im assuming you've got to more or less take the WHOLE unit apart to get in there to do a proper motor replace??

Luckily the one I worked on was just water got into overflow chamber so I didn't have to take it all apart to fix.

It did not look fun to work on if anything major had to be done - Good luck.

Maybe the bottom panel will come off like the front panel under the kickplate?

Hopefully you don't have to separate the tub from the base like you have to do on a Bosch, (I'm pretty sure the little 18" wide Frigidaire was built by Danby - it's not a normal Frigidaire designed dishwasher).
