Hi there, i have a Kenmore Gas Dryer. A few days ago, If i turn it on, it seems working fine but it's heated only for the first 5 minutes. It still runs but cold air comes out from it. I've watched youtube and took apart the back panel and checked up thermal cut-off fuse, operating thermostat, thermal fuse with a multi-meter and all of them had a value of 0, which is fine (not OL). And i figured out the vent was clogged, so i cleaned it up. And then i disassembled the front panel and both flame sensor and igniter had value of 0.

The only thing left is a Gas Valve Solenoid Coils. Using the multi meter, 2 prongs one seems fine. And for the 3 prongs coil, 1&2 works, 1&3 works but not 2&3, it's O.L.

On some videos, they only check 1&2 and 1&3. If i touch 2&3 with a multi meter, should it show the number on the meter?

Please help!

It’s fairly common for gas solenoid coils to fail after heating up... say five or ten minutes.

They will test fine for continuity but fail under load.
