I have a samsung VRT steam front load washing machine. Long story short I just fixed a leak in my water line, now my water pressure is high. I had a cheap garden hose splitter blow the shut off valve off earlier, then I heard something pop inside the washer. It blew out one of the pieces of plastic on the water inlet valve. I am not familiar with the way these are made, can I just pop a new piece of plastic in there, like a plug, or did the plastic actually break? Do I just need a new inlet valve?

Here is a pic.

I just found this, so I'm guessing it may be beyond repair.

That piece in your hand is the solenoid valve's plunger stem.  That valve is broken, so you'll need to replace the dual valve assembly.

A few recommendations for you:

  1. Replace your hoses with stainless steel braided ones.
  2. Check your water pressure.  It should be no higher than 115 psi, per that machine's specs.
