Hi all, I am new to this forum and looking for some guidance on fixing my refrigerator.  I can use a multi meter and have experience of fixing gas heaters - no use though when I need deep frozen ice cream!

My issue with our fridge, Fridge section is cooling to 34 / 35F and now the freezer is only achieving 15 - 20f.  Enough to make the icemaker work.   So far I have replaced all of the thermistors (5) a defrost thermostat, the ice flap motor (rusted solid) and have got it working better to these temps.  The flow and suction line are pretty hot from the compressor, which, on start up when the fridge is first switched on is pretty noisy but then settles won to a hum with the odd clatter now and then.  I have wanted to clean the condensor coils but the are situated at the top of the machine on a chassis, I have tried to slide this out after removing the bolts but have failed miserably.  I wanted to clean the coils and see how that was before I waved the white flag and called a tech out.  The appliance is 16 years old, has years left in it I am sure as all parts are available.  Any help appreciated thank you.
