Model: GFWN1600J1WW GE front loader - stops mid-cycle

My GFWN1600J1WW keeps stopping while washing. Typically it is stopping before the spin/drain cycle is done; sometimes it stops shortly after the start button has been pushed and water is starting to enter.  The door lock light comes on when I start a load but is off when I find the unit stopped.  In cases where I have been present when it stops, I hear an audible click and the door lock light is out.  I’m assuming this requires replacement of the door switch (latch seems fine), but before I order it thought I would seek guru-tastic advice to make sure that I’m not overlooking another possible cause that I should eliminate before shelling out the $. Thanks in advance!
