Hi all,

Today I bought a Samsung range used from a couple. I installed it and noticed the oven took a long time to heat up and the burners were weak. I finally figured out why--they had it converted to LP and they don't have the original NG orifices.

I have not been able to find them through Samsung.

Does anyone know where I could find the original NG orifices for a Samsung 5 burner range. Mine is model number NX58M9420SS. Does anyone on here have their original NG orifices they'll sell to me? Does anyone know if any other brands of orifices would work in a Samsung.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

A technician could drill out those LP orifices based on the BTU ratings of each burner.  I don't know if residential service techs will do that, but is commonplace for restaurant equipment.  I possess a tool set just for that very purpose.  This is that kit:

GDK4080 Gauging Drill Kit

That's not the only thing that must be done, though.  The gas pressure regulator in your range had to have been converted to LP.  See if Samsung sells the conversion back to natural gas (it's just a spring and a color-coded cap).  If not, then you'll need a new regulator too.

Looks like the cap on the regulator can be flipped over. Just pull it off and check for small letters.  Could find any orifices in parts breakdowns. @ECtoFix recommendation would be the easiest if no one has them for sale. Look the range over carefully the conversion orifices came strapped to the frame, the tech may have put old ones back on the frame.

Drives me crazy when people don’t put kits back after conversion!

Looks like only LP kits available online. I’d call Samsung  customer service.
