For a long time having problems not drying.  Cleaning sensors helped slightly one time. After a few minutes Of being on, display flashes wet and shuts off.  Has wet, damp, dry read outs. Just want to be sure that changing the sensors in the drum is usually the remedy and not a problem at the control board. From what I’ve read it is usually the sensors.  Appreciate any help or confirmation. Thanks.

I would look for lint buildup around the motor and verify that the vent is clear. It sounds like an airflow issue and most dryer problems stem from airflow issues.

As far as changing the sensor, if you can access you tech sheet (inside console) you'll find specs for the sensor (probably called a thermister). Measure it at room temperature and then get it hot by running the unit then measure again to see if it is out of spec. I personally don't see too many of those fail. I would really check the vent.
