Samsung Refrigerator RF28HFEDBSR/AA thermostat problem

Hi everyone, I'm not much of a DIYer myself, but i was hoping for a little help which might save me a bundle of money in service calls.

As noted in the title, my Samsung fridge is not operating correctly. The temperature is being measured and displayed wrongly on the front panel, for both fridge and freezer compartments. Usually it shows at slightly above room temperature, regardless of the interior temperatures. Recently a technician came to replace a component of the fridge which wasn't working properly, and he said that has a brand new thermostat which should have fixed the temperature reading for the fridge at least, if that had been the problem. It wasn't, and the problem persists for the freezer as well.

The technician thinks the culprit must be the "main control board". I have looked at the back of the unit, and see three different boards, and I'm not sure which is the board he's referring to. I looked at the Samsung authorized part dealer and I cannot get a clear picture of which part is needed. In fact, the parts recommended there do not match up exactly with the labels seen on the boards in the attached photograph.

If someone could help confirm that the main control board is the issue, and help me determine which exact part number I need to order, it would be a huge assist. Then I can call the technician to install it for me.

thanks in advance

I forgot to add one thing: the main consequence of the temperature being measured incorrectly is that the appliance is overcooling and wasting a lot of energy in the process. I am also worried that it's damaging the unit by running so much, and may have led to the issue which the technician had solved for me recently. I was not able to get this thing fixed earlier because the unit was still functioning and so it was not deemed essential enough to repair during this pandemic.

This is a complicated, computerized fridge with a whole lot happening between the sensors, the control boards, the fans and compressor. Samsung has had an issue with the fresh food evaporator icing over and stalling the evaporator fan, so you don’t get proper air flow. Sometimes temperature issues can be a freon leak or restriction. My advice would be to contact Samsung for the name of an authorized servicer that can accurately troubleshoot the issue and not just throw a bunch of parts at it, costing you more money in the long run...

Thanks for your advice. In fact, the component which was just replaced was indeed the evaporator fan, whose malfunction was preventing the fridge compartment from being cooled properly. As of now, the fridge is cooling fine and so is the freezer, so really it's just the temperature measurement and modulation not working correctly. If it doesn't seem like it would be easy to determine the source of this issue, then I've decided I'll call the authorized servicer. I already know who it is, I've had them come over before to repair my dryer (twice!).
