Frigidaire Affinity dryer FAQE7011KW - Blower Wheel Assembly question

Recommended Posts

I'm trying to install a new blower wheel assembly.  I was able to remove the old blower wheel assembly but had to chisel away the plastic as socket wasn't working - appeared to have melted around the metal.  Now I'm left with a metal piece still on the motor connector that I can't remove.  Any ideas?

Picture on the net are too clear, if the shaft has two flat spots you put a wrench at that spot and use vise grips to remove metal inset. If no flat spots you need two vise grips to remove insert. The threads maybe left handed to remove insert. If you have new blower look at threads to find out which direction to turn the insert.
