Frigidaire Affinity Washer FAFW3517KR1 flywheel will not turn

Hello Sinsei ,

I have the Frigidaire affinity f.l. washer and it will not spin or agitate. I get an error E59

I took the rear panel off and removed the belt from the motor and flywheel. The motor spins fine but the big fly wheel on the basket will not spin at all.

Is there a mechanism that is locking the fly wheel / basket from spinning or is my washer F.U.B.A.R.?

Nope no lock mech for basket. Was it loud before this happened? Your looking at tub bearings or something between basket and tub. Open the door and try moving the basket back and forth, up and down.
