Kenmore Washing Machine 110.20022011 not agitating

We had a repairman out here three weeks ago, and he said it is likely the door switch.  They have been waiting on a part since then, and I am tired of waiting and going to the laundromat.

I traced the wiring for the door switch to the plug into the master control board, blue and yellow are power for the solenoid, red and white are the sensor.

I shorted the red and white (standing by with a fire extinguisher!) and turned it on, but it just flashes the door locked light and does nothing.  Does the control board require an unlocked state before locking the door and starting the cycle?  Is there another way I can get around a defective door switch?

Model 110.20022011, serial C11823216.

Thank you!

Should be a tech in console area or under the top in plastic bag stuck to the cabinet. The lid switch is 2 parts - 1 is the when the lid is down a switch closes connector ( J6 pins 1 & 2 ) so the path for the lock soleniod is closed.  The board will pulse the solenoid to close the lock switch ( J6 pins 2 & 3).  If this doesn't happen in the proper order and timing the board will set an error code. Hard to do this manually. May want to take switch apart to see if it is easy fix. Or check amazon for the part, if your a prime member it is usually 1 to 3 days for part.

Thanks, I have had it apart and checked it - I don't see anything functionally wrong with it and the leaf spring makes good contact when in the right position.  I suspect the master board.  Unfortunately, we rent and have to have the property management company go through the repair service.....

Ok, the new door switch came in, and I installed it.  Still no go.

When I start the cycle, the fill light illuminates and the door locked light flashes, and nothing else happens.

Master control board?

Push and hold the cancel button to try clearing error. Sometimes they get kinda stuck on the error. If that doesn't work and the lid strike is in good shape it would be the board.

To add to this, I have noted now that after a while it did fill.  But it won't move between cycles unless I hit the pause button and then un-pause it.

Tried and no effect.

Timed it, and it takes 8.5 minutes from when I push start to start filling.
