Which glue to re-attach drum felt? (Samsung dryer drum repair)

Recommended Posts

10 year old Samsung dryer with stainless steel drum (bet you already figure out what's wrong).  Thump noise ended up being crack in drum near the factory seam weld.  I caught it in time, drilled a hole to keep the crack from propagating further, and strapped it together.  It's holding, sounds normal, but going to braze the crack for good measure. FWIW, a replacement drum I'm told is no longer available.

I need to detach the felt from the area I'm going to braze and need to know what glue to use to put it back down. Any suggestions?

Here's a much cheaper option - only $17.16 and this kit can usually be found even cheaper than that.

The above Frigidaire dryer front glide kit comes with a one ounce tube of the same hi-temp adhesive that sales for $37.11 if purchased separately.  It is the exact same adhesive as the Maytag part just packaged for Frigidaire.

Thank you both!  I bought the Maycor item from an Ebay seller.
