Whirlpool fridge (WRF540CWHZ02) leaking at water filter

My whirlpool fridge (Model # WRF540CWHZ02) started leaking from the filter overnight (see the first video here: https://imgur.com/TpIbxA5) and flooded my kitchen/basement.

When the filter is removed, water pours out of it. See video here: https://imgur.com/u7sRFru

The customer service line said the problem can be fixed by simply replacing the filter. When I did so, it continues to leak as the first video when the filter is on, and pours out when the filter is off.

Anyone know what I can do or what the problem is? The phone line is very unhelpful and they kept telling me to watch the filter replacement video online.

Most of the time it is the line going into the filter housing,  assuming it is not a aftermarket filter

You can try the bypass plug, but think you need to replace the filter head assembly.
