Bosch SHU 6800 dishwasher stuck at 61

Hi,

 

We have a 15 year old Bosch dishwasher with front control which is behaving weird.

When we start, I can hear the water drain, the valve opening etc and after a few seconds, the water starts flowing and if we peek in momentarily I can see the dishes being washed, the soap dispenser opens up etc and everything seems to be like normal. By the time it gets to "61" in the econ cycle, things get stuck. It would stay there for hours and then when it does finish, there is still water in the bottom and looks like the dishes are not rinsed. If I do the power+scrub+econ push it will reset and drain the water.
