Parents got new LG Fridge that also happened to come with a second "craft ice" ice maker that makes 3 almost 3" spherical balls of ice a day.  I guess it's great for cocktails - whoopie.  Just curious if anyone has swapped one out for a regular ice maker so you can double up on regular ice production.  It's 115 outside here in Southern Nevada so ice is pretty useful!

The craft ice is pretty - it's almost clear (slow freezing is probably why it can only make 3 a day). It's just also amazingly impractical.

It melts slower.

I think it's used for Scotch.

I have same question; how to replace LG Craft Icemaker with high volume regular icemaker.
