Maytag washer MHWC7500YW0 wet clothes f25 error?

Recommended Posts

MHWC7500YW0 front load Maytag washer does not spin dry the clothes.

In the "Quick Diagnostic Test" it goes thru all cycles and no error codes flash.

In the "Universal Diagnostic Test" it goes thru phase 0, but stops in the 8 phase with an error code of F25.

Joke is on me as the supposed factory tech manual I downloaded from "ServiceManuals.net" failure codes jumps from F24 to F26 !

Any assistance appreciated.

Thanks

Dave

No mention of an F25 error in this tech sheet.

Same tech manual on this site skips from F24 to F26 error code.

Is your display working right? It could be that it’s actually displaying a different error code but parts of your display isn’t working so it looks like F25. Since it’s not spinning stuff out I’d take a look at the MCU in the back of the washer, it’s a common failure on these washers. Remove the back plate of the unit and you’ll see the board sitting in the bottom left corner, take that out and then remove the board from the plastic casing and inspect the back of the board. If it’s bad you’ll see that it’s burnt.

That makes sense:

F26= Pump Drive System Error

F28=Motor Control Unit Error

Thanks.

Belt was missing a chunk and pulleys are dirty with belt dust.
