Our washing machine is 15 years old, but has been lightly used by just the two of us.

This afternoon it was on the final rinse and water started showing up on the floor.  I shut the water off and moved it to spin to empty it.

When it was done I turned the water back on and found nothing leaked from the hoses.  Nothing seemed to spray up on the walls.

Any suggestions for how to fix it?  If I can't do it, is it worth calling a professional, or should I just get a new one?

This came with a house we bought 9 years ago.  12 years ago people here told me how to fix a similar problem at my old house by  unclogging something that sensed when the tub was full.  I am hoping this will be as easy.

I tried to take a panel off to see where it was leaking from, but panels don't come off!  As far as I can see, you have to take everything apart to look at it.  Can that be right?  Am I overlooking something?

Neighbor came over and figured out how to remove the front panel.  We ran a small load and it seemed fine.

He said there was water in the overflow and believed that is where the water came from.  How would I fix that?
