Manufacturer: Whirlpool (Kenmore)
Type of Appliance: SXS Dual Evaporator
Model Number: 10651183112
Have you validated the model number at an online parts site like Repair Clinic? (yes or no): Yes
Have you watched the video on how to search for manuals and have you searched the Downloads section prior to posting this request? (yes or no): yes

I went out this morning with the tech sheet W10336426 for a good customer and quickly found I was in over my head.  The fresh food evaporator was frosted over and I realized I had no idea of how the temperature sensors worked to shut down cooling in the fresh food evaporator.  I'm used to the single evaporator with an air damper.  I don't see a three way valve that would stop freon from going into the FF evaporator.  Freezer temp was low teens.  What stops the cooling in the FF section that then lets the evaporator defrost.  Any literature for a similar Whirlpool refrigerator.  I would try the reverse lookup but I don't know how the system works to look up a part only with a dual evaporator.  Thanks for any help.  Wally

While you’re waiting on literature, we have a webinar on these units that you may want to watch sometime:

Since it's a Kenmore, I'm not finding much more on in than the tech sheet you already have. But the webinar that the Samurai posted should help you out a ton!

This parts manual does show it having a three-way valve, so that should answer one of your questions.
