Semi auto defrost - turn off power knob

Hello. I have a refrigerator that has a semi auto defrost system. I would like to know, what's the difference between a semi-auto and an auto defrost system?

And if I push the button to defrost, do I need to turn off the power knob (with the temp levels) as well?

Auto defrost is the fridge decides when to defrost and does it itself

semi auto is when you decide to defrost

just press the button and leave it to do its thing
