Maytag MFI2067AEB Refrigerator - Can't find leak

My Maytag fridge is intermittently leaking water onto the floor. The drip pan was bone dry so I assumed that the drain from the freezer bottom to the drip pan was clogged. Opened it up with super hot water and confirmed that it was draining successfully to the pan. Fix lasted a couple of weeks but then we had a puddle again a couple of days ago. This time I could see a little bit of water in the drip pan, but I ran super hot water down the drain again just in case it was slightly clogged. No puddles in the last couple of days but I'm concerned the same thing will happen again.

Some other clues:

-Water line going into the back of the fridge is completely dry, so I'm assuming that it is ok.
-Shined a flashlight all around the bottom trying to find evidence of a leak somewhere else but don't see any water anywhere.
-When the fridge is in its defrost cycle, it occasionally makes super loud 'pops' which I'm not sure is normal.
-Icemaker seems to be working properly but occasionally it gets stuck with ice caught in the plastic tongs and I have to pull open the ice door and clear it out. I turned off the ice maker after the last puddle a couple days ago just in case it is a clue.

Any insight as to what could be causing this or where it could be coming from? Thanks in advance-

May want to check the drain tube for junk. Can't remember if this has a duckbill check valve for the drain. They get sticky and will hold water.

Hi Vance, thanks for the reply. My drain tube is wide open at the end where it drains into the pan. Is there only one drain on this fridge?

Is the tube getting blocked with ice?
