WFW9150W01 - Throws different codes with 2 different CCUs

I'm a massage therapist, but I love to try to fix things.... This has me stumped.

Our washer cuts off mid cycle, at different times.  Sometimes it drains, sometimes it doesn't.

I tried to run diagnostics and believe I get a F1E1 code.   It stops and beeps at me when I run the diagnostic cycle.  (3 quick beeps)

I thought I'd try inexpensive repairs first.... I replaced the lock latch - no change.  I replaced the drain pump  and checked for blockages in the drain tube, inlet tubes and tub-to-pump tubes - no change.  I replaced the control panel.  The 'new' e-bay control panel throws maybe a F6E1 and F3E2 codes.  It was from a seller with great ratings, and the part was new. (I don't have a display, so I'm watching the flashing lights.)  I've looked at some grounding wires and started to unclip some of the wires that go to the temp. sensor to see if they were severed.  I didn't see anything obvious.  Any suggestions for next steps?

Repair clinic says they won't accept returns on electronic parts....

The machine/dryer pair is 9-ish years old.

Oops.  This is a WFW9150WW02 Whirlpool Washer.

There should have been a tech sheet inside the washer.

F1E1  is pump diver/main relays/eeprom error - ohm the old drain pump, sometimes they short out and take out the board

F6E1 is serial communication error between main control and motor controller - usually the motor controller won't move the basket.

F3E2 is water temp sensor error - it sensor temp out of range 23 f to 217f deg - out spec thermistor or broken wire.

Check the part number on your old module to see if it matches new module. May have to see if it sub through one of online retailers.

Thank you!  Yes... I looked at the tech sheet.

I replaced the drain pump.  I see it does drain... just not consistently.

I replaced the CCU.  'New' matches the old.  The drum does move... no problem there as far as I can tell.

Perhaps I'll try replacing  or testing the temp sensor...

Thanks for your reply!

My guess bad new board.

Original board pump error. New board different errors completely.

It happens. Especially with boards that have core charges.

Now, to test it, I try putting it in Rinse/Drain & Spin mode and omit the Rinse as I'm tired of manually draining the water.

It won't Spin or Drain.  Just beeps 3 quick beeps and gives me F1E1.

I found a Whirlpool Sport that looked similar and stripped many of the parts (the owner said it was getting recycled due to bad bearings).

I've replaced the temp. sensor, (with the sidewalk score),  the drain pump (Amazon) the CCU (ebay), the door latch (e bay)

I've checked for blockages.  I replaced the cold water inlet valve (Amazon)  because water was leaking into the machine slowly while unplugged.

It's 9 years old.  and the matching dryer is starting to squeal at me.

Is the average age of machines really 10 or so years these days?  As a massage therapist and mother of 2 young kids it's certainly had a lot of use.

Should we just replace them?

What brand do you recommend?

Are front loading machines inferior?
