GE stack dryer issue model GTUP240EM1WW

my GE stack dryer stopped working last month.

when you hit the START button it runs for a second then stops.

8 years old and out of extended 4 yr warranty.

had a tech come out and he immediately said its the motor. waited 5 weeks for a new motor to come in. when they installed new motor it did the exact same thing.

tech thinks the new motor came in bad/defective - so they have ordered me another one.

what else other than motor could be at root of problem here?

thank you

Have him check the belt switch. It could be bad winding in new motor but very odd.

they installed a new motor yesterday and now dryer is running.

but when they took it all apart and put it back together NOW the washer is not starting - the green LED cycle light is not on and no water is coming in.

start button on washer does nothing.

what could they have done to make the washer not work?
