Maytag MDG508DAW dryer not tumbling

At first I thought it was the typical broken belt.  Got it opened up and belt intact.  Problem was the motor pulley was wobbly and moving independently of motor shaft.  I tried to tighten it and remove it.  I could do neither.  It would not come off.  What to do in this situation aside from installing new motor?  Any help appreciated.

Looks like that the way it comes is a motor with a pulley.

Based on your description it sounds like something has broken in the motor. I’ve had this happen once with the shaft internals. All you can do is replace the motor.
