Samsung dishwasher DW80F600UTSAA-01

My Samsung dishwasher Model:DW80F600UTS/AA-0001 Touch Pad Control area has a hot plastic smell below the power button when it is running. The Main Control Board connector CN 102 has 2 DC voltage sources that are cabled up to the Touch Control Board. A 5 volt and 12 volt source. The 5 volt source measures correctly, but the 12 volt source measures nearly 16 volts. Whether this is a problem is the question. Is this a malfunction of the Main Control Board or is this typical and is not a problem?

You can check cn301 pin 7 for 5 vdc and pin 9 for 12 vdc. 16 vdc seems a little high. Have you look a UI to see if there are any visable issues?

Thx Vance for your response. I have removed the Main Control Board and see no indication of a failed component. I haven't done any trouble-shooting other than measuring the DC voltages on CN102. I'm not familiar with your reference to UI.

Thx again, Harlan

A hot plastic smell is coming from the plastic under the touch control panel ["UI"] on the door. I have the door cover off and no electronic parts are hot, only the plastic 2 inches below the Power touch button gets up to 105 degrees and smells hot. The rest of the plastic area and door parts are at room temperature. I attempted to run the diagnostics pressing the “Heavy+Delicate+Power” buttons simultaneously, but no error code lights come on. When the dishwasher is started the pump runs, fills with water and heats the water. But, the pump does does not run to wash the dishes.
