Viking Range VGIC367 - Body Burner D and Venturi Question - Materials

Recommended Posts

Hi,

New DIYer here.  Hopefully someone can help me with this....

Purchased a used Viking Freestanding Range - Model VGIC367, made in 2005.

Started to take it apart to clean it (grease, mouse droppings) and to lose some weight to get it to our 2nd floor kitchen.

In the process of taking the original brass venturi's (PA010100)  off of the original aluminum? burrner bases (PA080075), the aluminum threads of the burner bases got trashed, so I need to purchase new.

The problem that I see is that I've found burner bases that look like they are made from multiple materials, aluminum, like the original, brass, and galvanized steel.

My question is what burner base can I use with my original brass venturi's???

It looks like the intent was 2 different materials.

I see that the new burner base assembly (072542-000) replaces the old, and that they  switched the materials (now brass burner base and aluminum venturi's).

Pic of new arrangement...

Any help is appreciated.
