Maytag DWU7400AAX 1993 dishwasher needs a part

Works great except the control panel on top is cracked, loose and does not accept screws anymore.  Does not want to start anymore unless there is 5 minutes of pushing the door closed in various ways.  Tech here yesterday and pronounced it not fixable.  Too old and too cracked.  Tech says he will call around today for this part....but thinks it is not out there.  I have searched on line and can find some parts....but not the control panel (or console, as tech calls it).

It is a GREAT dishwasher and DW would hate to see it go.  Is there a replacement part out there......?

Thank you

27 years is a good run. There's not much chance of finding a new console. If the screw posts are still there, you could try gluing them back on. Look around on the inside of the console for the plastic marking. Most likely it's either ABS or PVC. Use the appropriate plumbing cement to glue them back on. Give it a couple of hours before reassembling.

@CoolBeans Another possible chance at fixing if the plastic pieces have gone missing - sometimes even with the main plastic post broken off there will be 1/4" to 1/2" left that a longer screw can be threaded into and with some plastic nylon spacers between remaining screw post and inner door panel to keep inner door panel from being pulled to far into the console you can reattach the inner door panel in a solid manner.
