RF323TEDBSR/AA Samsung Fridge Filter Case Assembly Replacement

Recommended Posts

Replaced filter case assembly for Samsung fridge model  with this part # DA97-12661A. But for some reason, had no water flow and the ice maker (augur) didn't make the normal noise when pressed on the dispenser. Strange enough, when we slap back the old filter case we got the same weak water flow and ice maker made the normal sound. What could be the cause? Appreciate any advice or suggestions.

Thanks a lot

Sorry, I made a mistake on the part number. I installed Part number: DA97-12668A  but it didn't work.

I plugged all the plugs in the right place. I shoved the tube to the black marked lines also. Could it be the issue with the tubes?

Thanks

Looked over fast track and service manual and there is no information on water line routing.  The wiring diagram indicates there could be 3 water valve depending on how many ice makers are in the refrig. Also there is a flow meter in the water lines somewhere.  The picture of the da97-12668a shows 4 tubes - my guess would be 2 for filter and 2 for water storage tank. With all the wire in the picture it suggests the flow meter and possibly a solenoid are in the case.  The 2 water lines that go to the filter direction of flow would be critical. Flow direction for the storage tank should be too important unless there is solenoid hooked to one of the lines.

Please provide your version number or serial number to confirm correct parts.
